Our solution

The first night set the scene of a traditional English Christmas, and adopted a Dickensian theme.  It began with a reception at the Old Curiosity Shop (pictured above), followed by dinner in a 'haunted' inn – all rounded-off with a whisky tasking.  On returning to their hotel, guests found Christmas stockings stuffed with goodies in their rooms, plus our client's gifts of shopping cards for the following day.  All retired to bed very happy indeed!

The next day a top guide took them to some of London's famous shopping districts – stopping for lunch at Harrods.  Guests were given plenty of free time to use their gift cards, and transport and other assistance was provided throughout the day.  In the evening they met in the hotel bar for pre-theatre drinks, with entertainment provided by a small choir singing Christmas carols.

Guests were then whisked off to London's glittering West End in its famous black cabs, where premium seats had been reserved for a top musical.  Guests then enjoyed refreshments and canapés during the show's interval, and the evening finished with a light supper at the Criterion – a glamorous theatreland restaurant.

The next day guests could choose what they wanted to do: attend a service at St Paul's Cathedral, try a bit of ice-skating, or visit a great Christmas market.  There was then a classic Sunday lunch at Windsor, overlooking the river Thames and the Castle – with jazz accompaniment.  After that it was just a matter of a short 30-minute transfer to the airport and the flight home.
